This is the second piece of the series dedicated to acquaint the mental side of the beautiful game. In my previous article we discussed about the main characteristics of football, and we delved into the differences between the closed skills and open skills. Now we are going further to talk about the core principles of game intelligence.
So after three months and 13 games, The Blues's very impressive run of straight league wins comes to an end. A @Dele_Alli double lifts Spurs to 3rd place and declined Chelsea a record-breaking 14th consecutive #PL victory. Great performance by Alli, he was fantastic, but the work of Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele in midfield needs acknowledging. The players gave an outstanding gift to their manager, as this was Pochettino 150th match in Premier League.
There were some high-flying events of the previous year. We had ups and downs, great achievements, and big failures. Leicester city demonstrated that we should dream and if we fight strong enough we can do great things. The Pogba transfer was the first 'social media' driven deal of history. The Portugal national team won the European championship despite they weren't the best but had great luck and Fernando Santos idea. Johan Cruyff died and we lost one of the greatest thinker and innovator of football. Chile won the Copa America centenario the oldest international tournament.
I would like to share some websites, blogs, twitter accounts and useful sources to get knowledge about football. There are some favourites, I highly recommend to dive into these great materials.
